On Philosophy...
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time defending the merits of a Philosophy degree. Mostly because, for a while there, that was all I had going for me. I was getting a degree. I love...
when I pour milk into my tea. I don’t stir it at first, but instead just watch the arrhythmic push and pull of milk and tea, swirls of sandy brown flowing to and fro. Then I drop a half-spoon of sugar and watch the clouds swell and change with panicked intensity. Finally, I drop in my spoon and stir. Few things are more pleasant than those few moments between pouring and stirring.
